Biography
Aaron M. Sackett joined the Opus College of Business faculty in 2009. Prior to his arrival at the University of St. Thomas, he spent three years as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He teaches classes at both the undergraduate and graduate level and also serves as the faculty supervisor for the Behavioral Research Centeron the Minneapolis campus. Sackett's expertise lies in the domain of consumer psychology. His research interests include understanding how consumers form judgments about past, present and future experiences, and how their goals and expectations influence their behavior. He was recently named a 2016 Knight Cities Challenge grant winner for his project examining ways to increase voter turnout through minimalist psychology/marketing techniques. His research has been published in major peer-reviewed academic journals and has gained attention in popular press outlets including NPR, BBC Radio, the New York Times, and The Atlantic.
