Biography
Professor Guan's research focuses on how different individual and social factors influence communicative messages in interpersonal, intercultural and organizational contexts. Professor Guan has published articles in the International Journal of Intercultural Relations, Journal of Language and Social Interaction, Communication Research Reports, Conflict Resolution Quarterly, Journal of Intercultural and International Communication, Journal of Intercultural Communication Research, International Journal of Communication, International Journal of Management, Chinese Journal of Communication and Howard Journal of Communication. She has presented her research to the National Communication Association, the International Communication Association and the Northwestern Communication Conference. Professor Guan has also been involved in training and consulting with local business, academic professionals and international students on cultural awareness and communication skills.
