Biography
Chun research focuses on family acculturation processes and their relation to health and psychosocial adjustment for Asian American immigrants. Dr. Chun is currently Co-Principal Investigator for the "Chinese Family Diabetes Education Project," a collaborative research study between UCSF, USF, Cameron House, and North East Medical Services in San Francisco. This four-year study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, is the first in the nation to develop and test a cognitive-behavioral type 2 diabetes management intervention for Chinese American immigrants.
