Biography
Drew Newman is an associate professor in the School of Accounting at the Darla Moore School of Business. He joined the Moore School in 2013 after four years as an assistant professor in accounting at the University of Pittsburgh. Newman holds a Ph.D. from Georgia State University and a B.S. and a M.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama. Newman's primary teaching and research interests are in managerial accounting. Prior to returning to academia, Newman spent two years with Ernst & Young as an auditor and four years working in various corporate accounting functions.
Research Interest
Newman's specific research interests are management accounting, incentives, information systems and internal control.
