Biography
Dr. Mindy Lipson Aisen, MD has been the Chief Medical Officer of Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center since 2009. Dr. Aisen has extensive leadership, healthcare and research expertise to Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Aisen's professional experiences include CEO of the Cerebral Palsy International Research Foundation; Adjunct Professor of the Department of Neurology at Georgetown University School of Medicine; Director of Technology Transfer and Director of Rehabilitation Research and Development at the Department of Veterans Affairs; Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology at Cornell University Medical College; Neurorehabilitation Fellowship Director at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital; Director of Spinal Cord, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy Service; Director of MIT-Burke Collaborative Rehabilitation Engineering Research Program; Attending Neurologist at The New York Hospital; Preceptor for The New York Hospital residents in the departments of Neurology and Physiatry; Attending Neurologist in the Electromyography Laboratory at The New York Hospital; Attending Neurologist of the Multiple Sclerosis Research and Training Facility at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine; Attending Physician at the Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine; and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Aisen is Principal Investigator of the Spinal Cord Injury Model System, a prestigious designation awarded to Rancho's Spinal Cord Injury Program by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (2011-2016).
