Biography
Sara has nine years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in the areas of inpatient rehabilitation, long term care, and home care. Her specialization is in assistive technology and she holds an advanced certification as Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP) from the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America. She has a passion for wheelchair seating and mobility and the use of smart phones and tablets to enable clients to participate in their meaningful occupations. She has also completed credentialing training in physical agent modalities (PAMs) through the Physical Agent Modalities Practitioner Credentialing Agency, LLC (PAMPCA). Sara specializes in stroke neuro-rehabilitation through practice, research, and educational outreach. She co-developed and routinely teaches an OT neuro-rehabilitation course for a rehab technician program in Haiti.
