Biography
Alayne Peterson became a faculty member at UW-Fond du Lac in the fall of 2005. Prior to that time she taught for one year as an English lecturer at UW-Fond du Lac and has also taught at Marquette University, UW-Waukesha, UW-Washington County, Columbia College Chicago, Terra Community College in Ohio, and the University of Toledo. Alayne has been the Associate Campus Chair of the English department since 2005. Alayne is interested in technology and its impact on our society--her English 102 class is called Considering the Future and is designed to encourage students to consider our technologically mediated lives. Alayne has presented regularly at the International Conference for the Fantastic in the Arts, and presented her paper "Post-Apunkalypse Fury Tales: George Miller, Mad Max, and the End of Childhood" at the 37th meeting in March 2016.
