Biography
Dr. Coen is currently Assistant Professor of Political Science at UW-Sheboygan and UW-Manitowoc. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware. She received her B.A. in International Relations from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. Before joining UW Colleges faculty, she previously taught at the University of Connecticut and at Emory & Henry College. While earning her doctorate, Dr. Coen conducted field research in Egypt and worked with the State Department's Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Student Leaders Program. ​Her research focuses on Human Rights, Global Governance, and U.S. Foreign Policy towards the Middle East. Her pedagogy interests include developing students' undergraduate research skills and information literacy skills. She enjoys working with diverse groups of students at all stages in their educational journeys.
