Biography
Dr. Deepak Basyal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of Wisconsin-Marinette. Dr. Basyal joined UW-Marinette in Fall 2015. Dr. Basyal received an M. S. in Mathematics and a Ph. D. in Mathematics from New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico. He also received an M.A. in mathematics from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He has received many honors and awards including the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from New Mexico State University and the Outstanding Senator Award from Associated Students of New Mexico State University. Dr. Basyal has research interests in the areas of history and pedagogy of mathematics, ethnomathematics and mathematics education
