Biography
Dr. Chataut joined UW- Marinette as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in fall 2016. Before joining UW- Marinette, he worked as an Instructor of Mathematics at the University of South Alabama, Mobile. Dr. Chataut received an M.A. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He has also received an M.S. in Mathematics from Tribhuvan University Kathmandu, Nepal His research area lies in the realm of infinite group theory. In particular, he is interested in the classification of groups all of whose subgroups have certain properties and groups with the weak minimal or weak maximal conditions on subgroups which do not have the property P. He currently lives in Marinette, Wisconsin.
