Biography

SUZANNE JONESON completed his Ph.D from Duke University in Biology in the year 2009. he completed his M.S from University of Washington in Botany in the year 2003, He completed his B.S from University of Washington in Botany in the year 1999 and B.A from Fairhaven College, Western Washington University in Ethnobotany in the year 1992. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 2011 – Present Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences, University of Wisconsin – Waukesha, Waukesha WI. Main responsibilities include developing and teaching Microbiology and Botany courses and developing a lichenbiology research program that includes undergraduate researchers. 2009 – 2011 Post Doctoral Research Associate, University of Idaho, Department of Biology, Moscow ID. Research projects included genomic sequencing and bioinformatics. I compared the genomic sequences of two closely related chytrid fungi, one of which is the leading cause of worldwide declines in frog populations. In addition, I co-taught an undergraduate Biology major’s required course in Principles of Structure and Function, and mentored graduate students.   TEACHING AND MENTORING EXPERIENCE: He have a working relationship with the course management systems D2L and BlackBoard, and have been responsible for setting up and maintaining these sites for his own classes including: entering class goals, syllabi and rosters, posting learning assessments and assignments, and maintaining grades. He also regularly use the following software programs in order to carry out correspondence, write reports, and analyze data: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, vi, Unix, Perl, LaTeX, EndNote. He also have working relationships with the following database programs: Biota, FileMaker, and MySQL.

Research Interest
