Biography
Professor Kristyn Masters pursued her B.S.in year 1997 in Chemical Engineering, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. and her Ph.D.in year 2001 in Chemical Engineering, Rice University. she did her Postdoctoral research in year 2001-2003, Chemical Engineering, University of Colorado-Boulder Her Research Interests are- Role of the microenvironment in regulating cell function. Creation of in vitro tissue-engineered models of disease. Cellular decision-making in complex environments. Her Awards, Honors and Societies are- UW Women and Science Teaching Development Award. UW Teaching Academy Award. NSF CAREER Award. Scholar, Institute for Scholarship in Engineering Education. Number One "Hot Talk/Cool Paper" at Materials Research Society Fall 2007 meeting. ASEE (National) Biomedical Teaching Award.
