Biography
Marguerite Burns is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin. A health services researcher, her work concerns the interplay between public health insurance design, health care policy, and health care outcomes for vulnerable populations. Dr. Burns’ current research examines: the impact of benefit structure and provider supply on mental health care use.She received her PhD in Population Health from the University of Wisconsin with an emphasis in health economics. Dr. Burns was previously a faculty member of the Harvard Medical School in the Department of Population Medicine where she retains a Visiting Assistant Professorship.
