Biography
R.D. Nair is Professor of Accounting and Information Systems at the Wisconsin School of Business, and has been a faculty member since 1978. He served as the Senior Associate Dean of the School of Business from 1994 to 2004 and as Interim Dean of the School from September 2001 to June 2002. He was the Executive Director of the School’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) from 1998 to 2004 (responsible for obtaining $2.5 million of federal funding) and Director of International Programs for the School from 1996 to 2004.Professor Nair served as Chairman of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems from 1991 to 1994. From 1984 – 86, while on leave from the University, he was a Faculty Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) where he developed the standard for the Statement of Cash Flows. From 2011 to 2013 he served on the FASB’s Private Company Resource Group.
