Biography
Dr. Spencer received his medical degree from the Stony Brook University School of Medicine in 2007. He completed his residency at the integrated training program at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in 2012. Quality of life and care at the end-of-life has been the focus of Dr. Spencer’s research since medical school when he graduated with Distinction in Humanities. His current research includes development and implementation of clinical trials focused on stress reduction during chemotherapy for primary ovarian cancer patients, the use of humor on quality of life in recurrent gynecologic cancers and the improvement in sexual health and dysfunction after diagnosis and primary treatment.
