Biography
Dr. Kohmoto pursued his MD from Okayama University School of Medicine, Japan further he did his PhD from Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan,He further did his Research Fellowship from Department of Surgery, Columbia University, NY and her Clinical Fellowship, Shin-Tokyo Hospital, Japan, New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University, NY. Dr. Kohmoto specializes in the following: coronary artery bypass surgery, beating heart surgery, aortic and mitral valve surgery, surgery for end-stage heart disease, heart transplantation, mechanical assist devices, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, cardiac arrhythmia surgery, robotic cardiac surgery, pericardiectomy, and cardiac reoperation.
Research Interest
Mechanical assist devices, heart transplantation, lung transplantation, ischemic preconditioning, laser surgery, angiogenesis, cell transplantation, and cardiac regeneration.
