Titles and Education Current Position: Clinical Assistant Professor, Anesthesia and Pain Management DACVAA - Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA), 2014 Anesthesia Residency – University of California – Davis, 2013 PhD - UNESP (São Paulo State University – Brazil) in association with CSU (Colorado State University), 2010 MSc - UNESP (São Paulo State University – Botucatu, São Paulo, Brazil), 2008, DVM – UFF (Federal Fluminense University – Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), 2005 Research Balanced anesthesia techniques Responsibilities Dr. Ferreira supervise anesthesia cases of small, large and exotic animals, providing training of 4th year veterinary students, anesthesia residents and technicians at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. She also consults for all the services in the hospital about sedation and analgesic protocols for different patients. Dr. Ferreira provides anesthesiology lectures for 2nd year veterinary students and assist in small and large animal anesthesia laboratories for 2nd-4th year veterinary students.
Research Interest
Anesthesia and pain management of small, large and exotic animals, and special interest in loco-regional anesthesia techniques.
