Paul B. Queally

Biography

 Has served as a director of USPI since its inception in February 1998 and serves as the chairman of the compensation committee and a member of the executive committee. Mr. Queally is Co-President of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, where he focuses primarily on investments in the healthcare industry and is a managing member of the general partner of Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe IX, L.P. Prior to joining Welsh Carson in 1996, Mr. Queally was a general partner at the Sprout Group, the private equity group of the former Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He is a member of the boards of directors of AGA Medical Corporation, Aptuit, Inc. and several private companies. Mr. Queally’s service on the boards of multiple private and public companies and his extensive experience in corporate transactions, including M&A, leveraged buyouts and private equity financing, provide the board with an important perspective in making strategic decisions.
