Biography
Cecil,MSN, RN has been Chief Nursing Officer of University Of Tennessee Medical Center since 2007 and also serves as its Senior Vice President. Ms. Cecil served as Vice President of the Center for Women and Children’s Health at the medical center for the past five years. Prior to joining UT Medical Center, she worked for seven years as the System Service Line Administrator for Women and Children’s Services at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She served as a Member of Clinical Advisory Board at Skylight Healthcare Systems, Inc. since April 2009. She spent several years early in her career providing direct patient care as a nurse. A Farragut resident, she is a Member of Executive Women's Association, the Tennessee Organization of Nurse Executives, the East Tennessee Healthcare Executive Association and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. Ms. Cecil earned her Master's in Nursing from the University of Missouri, in Kansas City, Mo., and her Bachelor's in nursing from Webster University in Kansas City, Mo. While in school, Ms. Cecil's outstanding coursework earned her membership to Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society for nursing.
