Biography
Adrian grew up in the rural Mendocino County redwoods and moved to Southern Oregon as a teenager. Fueled by an unconventional upbringing in the quirky 'State of Jefferson,' he departed for UC Davis to obtain his BA degree in Political Science/History in a mere three years. His academic focus was on comparative economics, land use policy and communications. As he spent more time hanging out in Sacramento, Adrian came to love his new urban lifestyle. Adrian has contributed to numerous Valley Vision projects since coming on board in July 2014, but he spends most of his time coordinating CropMobster Sacramento, the AgPlus Consortium, USDA rural business workshops, the Cleaner Air Partnership, and Broadband initiatives. Adrian also serves as a communications/content marketing specialist and in-house graphic designer across Valley Vision's many projects. Between graduating in 2012 and joining the VV team, Adrian worked on various political campaigns, completed a marketing Fellowship with Net Impact, taught American Government classes to high school students in Poland, and authored a popular online socioeconomics column. Growing up on ten acres of dense foliage honed his brush clearing and wood chopping skills, but Adrian also enjoys backpacking in the Sierras, filmmaking, 1980s horror movies, road tripping in his minivan, cooking/eating, comedy, hoppy beer, multi-day music festivals, writing, and talking to strangers. Living in Oregon made Adrian forever uncomfortable pumping his own gas.
