Biography
Dae Newman is the department assistant for the Department of African American Studies. In 2013, they earned a BA in English with a minor in mathematical sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University. As department assistant, Dae assists with the day-to-day running of the department while serving as the primary contact person for faculty, students, and members of the community.
Research Interest
Dae is also a co-chair of Equality VCU, a Safe Zone facilitator, and a current member of the College of Humanities and Sciences Staff Council.
