Biography
James A. Skinner is Executive Chairman of Walgreens Boots Alliance. He was named Chairman of the Walgreen Co. Board of Directors in 2012. Prior to Walgreens, Skinner held numerous leadership positions at McDonald’s, including Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the McDonald’s Corporation, President and Chief Operating Officer of the McDonald’s Restaurant Group and President of McDonald’s Europe. Skinner has twice served as an Advisory Director to McDonald’s Corporation’s Board of Directors and currently serves on the boards of Ronald McDonald House Charities and Illinois Tool Works. He previously served on the board of Hewlett Packard. Skinner is a member of the Chicago Club and also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
