Biography
Scott has more than 20 years of managerial experience in the waste industry, getting his start in a family-owned waste company in 1980 in Birmingham, Alabama. After a few years of working for the company, Scott became a co-owner. From 1993 to 2002, he worked for another waste company in Mobile, Alabama serving in positions ranging from Operations Manager to Site Manager, and later to Municipal Marketer and District Manager. In the nine years that followed he worked as a market area manager for an environmental services company in Birmingham. He joined the Waste Pro team in 2013 as the Senior Division Manager of the Birmingham location, and in 2014 he was promoted to Divisional Vice President of Central and Northern Alabama. He manages the Birmingham Hauling Division in which he supervises 63 employees who operate 43 trucks, he also manages Waste Pro’s American Recycling of Alabama facility, in which 10 employees operate one truck as well as the Childersburg Satellite Hauling offices with 10 employees and 11 trucks. Scott’s region services more than 54,000 residential customers across Central and Northern Alabama.
