Biography
Dr. Matthew Vorsanger is a native New Yorker, growing up in Rockaway, Queens. He attended Yale University, earning his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. He then returned to New York, where he received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He remained at New York University for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine, as well as an additional year as Chief Resident. He continued at New York University for fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease. He joined the full-time faculty at New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital as a specialist in Non-Invasive Cardiology. As a non-invasive cardiologist, Dr. Vorsanger specializes in the medical management and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, as well as cardiac imaging, including echocardiograms, stress testing, vascular ultrasound, and rhythm monitoring. Dr. Vorsanger is also proficient in Spanish.
