Anthony E. Zimmermann

Biography

  Anthony E. Zimmermann received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy and Pharm.D. from the School of Pharmacy, University of Maryland at Baltimore. He initially joined the faculty at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Boston before transferring to the inaugural Worcester Campus to help spearhead the development of the pharmacy practice program. Recently, he was the clinical coordinator of Pharmacy at Holyoke Medical Center where he developed and implemented a clinical pharmacy program. Dr. Zimmermann’s practice and areas of expertise are in infectious disease, gastroenterology, pulmonary, and critical care medicine. Educational areas of interest include interactive problem-based learning and curriculum design to prepare students to become patient-based pharmacy practitioners. Dr. Zimmermann reviews national and internationally peer-reviewed journals. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and has lectured nationally at meetings and conferences.
