Biography
Dr. Sun was a research scientist at Pfizer prior to his pharmacy career, and received the Pfizer Global Research and Development Excellence Award in 2002 and Discovery Above and Beyond Award in 2005. He received his PharmD from Creighton University and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. He has ten years of experience as a clinical pharmacy specialist providing direct patient care in emergency departments. He established comprehensive emergency pharmacy services at Yale New Haven Hospital- Saint Raphael Campus. In 2011, he took an academic position at the College of Pharmacy. For the past 6 years, Dr. Sun has been delivering presentations at pharmacy and emergency medicine conferences both within and outside of the United States. He speaks on topics ranging from pharmacy service in emergency care to pharmacy education. He was awarded four educational grants on drug overdose and enhancing medication safety education ($56,000.00 total), and was the recipient of the College of Pharmacy Excellence in Scholarship award in 2014.
