Research Interest
I am the Director of the Mountain Environments Research Institute at WWU and my research focuses on climate change impacts in mountain regions. Current work in my lab includes dust deposition on glaciers and glacier retreat, climate and grazing impacts on alpine vegetation and soil erosion, recent changes in fire frequency and behavior in alpine regions, and western US water law and climate change
