Biography
Dr. Neil Storey, Chief of Staff, joined Weston Veterinary Clinic in 2001. Neil was born and raised in England, and graduated with a B.Sc. Honors Degree in Applied Biology from the University of Salford in 1982. In 1985 Dr. Storey was awarded a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Nottingham for his studies in parasite immunology. In 1987, he joined New England Biolabs in Beverly, Massachusetts and later became a Senior Scientist with BASF in Cambridge. He returned to the classroom after being accepted at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. As a student at Tufts, Neil received awards in small animal medicine and surgery, anesthesia and academic excellence. Working as a small animal practitioner, Dr. Storey has professional interests in general medicine, surgery, infectious diseases and internal parasites. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association. Neil and his wife share their home with Saffron, their young Golden Retriever. When he is not on the sofa watching English soccer, Neil is likely to be out running or hiking on country trails with “Saffy”. She also accompanies him to work where she is happy to meet and greet her Golden cousins.
