Professor Ayesha Shaikh is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in group psychotherapy, adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and communication in close relationships. She has published articles on the verbal communication of emotion and the evaluation of interactions between medical doctors and their patients. She has also presented several papers on adult ADHD and the associated social and emotional difficulties that occur in this population. Shaikh is currently working on a research project investigating the utility of a group psychotherapy intervention for young adults with ADHD who are struggling in their relationships.
