Biography
William E. Duvall, Professor of History, holds a PhD in modern French and modern European intellectual history from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He offers lower level seminars on the French Revolution and World War One as well as the survey course, Western Civilization. His upper level seminars in intellectual history include The Enlightenment, The 19th Century: Hegel to Nietzsche, and the 20th Century as well as special courses on Albert Camus and Algeria and Michel Foucault and Critical History.
