Biography
Jason Joyner attended Clemson University in Clemson, SC from 2005 until 2016. He originally entered Clemson as an engineering major, but quickly found that my passion was in mathematics. He switched his major to math and never looked back. In 2009, with graduation for my bachelor’s degree looming, He decided to postpone the real world and go take more math classes. From 2009 to 2011, He completed a master’s degree in operations research. The last part of my graduate school journey took place from 2011 until 2016. Those years were spent obtaining my PhD in stochastics. He started teaching math in 2011 as a masters student at Clemson. He enjoyed it right away. Today, it is just as rewarding, challenging, and enjoyable as day one. It was not hard for me to decide I wanted to make a career out of teaching mathematics. I am thrilled to be at Wingate and I’m already looking forward to many great years!
