Robin Lammi
Professor
Chemistry
Winthrop University
United States of America
Biography
Dr. Lammi is interested in using visible spectroscopic tools (harnessing the interaction of visible light with molecules) to investigate molecular properties. Her current work with Winthrop undergraduates is focused on quantifying and understanding the earliest steps in the association of amyloid-B, the small protein linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Lammi has published numerous scientific articles and has received research funding from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. She enjoys teaching general and inorganic chemistry.
Research Interest
Physical Inorganic and Biophysical/Bioinorganic Chemistry, Fluorescences Spectroscopy, Nanoscience.
