Biography
Education: BA Providence College 1975 MBA Syracuse University 1985 PhD Syracuse University 1991 Project-based learning at WPI gives faculty a remarkable working relationship with students, and students learn far more when framing difficult problems than they do in a lecture-dominated environment. It has been a pleasure to see the growth in our graduate programs, and the recognition that it has received at a national level. That speaks volumes about the quality of our students and the increasing research output of our faculty. Being on the WPI faculty, provides a unique opportunity to interact with engineers and scientists in research and teaching. I have had many joint projects with the materials faculty, linking marketing research and the problems facing engineers in the automotive supply chain. These experiences have resulted in several grants, and provided a regular link to industry.
