Biography
Education: BS Combind Computer Science and Film Production University of Wisconsin, Madison 1987 Integrated Liberal Studies University of Wisconsin, Madison 1985 Jeff Kesselman is a 30 year game industry software engineering veteran with experience that ranges from startups to large companies, and from line development up to the C level. He was the CTO of 4 fully funded online game startups as well as creating the Darkstar game server project at Sun Labs. He has previously taught as adjunct faculty at Northeastern University, Daniel Webster College, Becker College, and WPI. The companies he has worked for include Crystal Dynamics, Total Entertainment Network, North American Phillips, Sun Microsystems and many other small game shops He co-authored a best-selling book on Java Application Performance tuning and is named in 3 Sun Microsystems patents (2 as primary inventor.) He has published 2 independent mobile applications (a game, and a game utility).
Research Interest
His interests include virtual acting, Virtual Reality, and game design (electronic and pen and paper) with an emphasis on multi-player. His hobbies include a long standing Pen and Paper Roleplay game involvement, playing with his 3D printer, and stage magic.
