Biography
Education: BS Politecnico di Milano, Italy 2008 MS Politecnico di Milano, Italy 2010 PhD Purdue University, Indianapolis 2016. The focus of my research is on mathematical and computational modeling of biological fluids and tissues. During my Ph.D. work, I have developed mathematical models to investigate the relevance of mechanical and vascular factors in the pathophysiology of glaucoma, a neurodegenerative disease affecting the eye. I enjoy teaching, I strive to establish a classroom environment where the students are challenged to ask questions and share ideas without the concern of making mistakes.
Research Interest
Applied Mathematics; Mathematical biology; Fluid-structure interaction; Numerical analysis
