Biography
Education: S.B Management Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 1969 M.B.A Economic Analysis Iona College 1971 Ph.D. Management Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 1975 I have served as Dean of the Foisie Business School since August 2015. Prior to coming to WPI, I served as dean of the business schools at American University, Yeshiva University and the University of Delaware. In addition, I have served as Associate Provost at Yeshiva University. My research has focused on the management of information technology in organizations, and my current interests concern creating business value through investments in technology, the management of risk and corporate governance. In 2005, I was elected a Fellow of the Association for Information Systems. Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in professional organizations in information technology and higher education, and currently serve on the Initial Accreditation Committee of AACSB International. I have maintained an interest in international business education, and have often taught overseas (primarily in Europe). I led the development of the first AACSB accredited MBA program in post-communist Europe in Budapest, Hungary, and am the founder of the first graduate business school in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
