Biography
B.A. Psychology, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, 1980 Ph.D. Psychology, California School of Professional Psychology, Berkeley/ Alameda, 1990 Dr. Siperstein is a licensed Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist. She is a Diplomate in Forensic Psychology certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology and the American Board of Forensic Psychology. Dr. Siperstein specializes in treatment of children, along with personality and cognitive assessment of children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Siperstein has been a court appointed Child Custody Evaluator, Special Master, Mediator, Co-parent Facilitator and Expert Witness in the Family, Dependency and Administrative Courts. She has provided Independent Psychological Evaluations for the Victim of Crime Program at the State Board of Control, primarily assessing the impact of trauma in children and adults. She has provided consultation to preschool and parent groups, and training to interns and practicum students, Family Court judges, attorneys and mediators.
Research Interest
Interest include Psychology.She has extensive experience in assessing and treating adults, adolescents and children from diverse populations in both inpatient and outpatient community settings, and practices from a psychodynamic perspective. She has supervised post-doctoral students in assessment at West Coast Children's Center and has a particular interest in Therapeutic Assessment.
