Biography
B.S. Psychology, The City College, New York, 1952 Ph.D. Clinical Psychology, University of California, Berkeley, 1959 Dr. Peskin is professor emeritus at San Francisco State University, clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of California, San Francisco, former president and faculty of the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California, and Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Human Development, University of California, Berkeley. He serves on the boards of Survivors International and the Holocaust Oral History Project.
Research Interest
His special areas of clinical and research interest include psychological health in adult development and aging, empirical investigation of psychoanalytic theory, and treatment of survivors of crimes against humanity.Dr. Peskin has been engaged in the private practice of psychotherapy, graduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision of clinical psychologists and psychoanalysts, and life-span study of longitudinal samples.
