John R. Torell

Biography

Mr. John R. Torell, III, serves as a Partner at Core Capital Partners. Mr. Torell has also been active in selected turnaround situations. He has been the President and Chairman of a number of major American banking institutions and has participated in virtually all phases of the financial services industry.  He was also the Chairman of Telesphere, Inc. and International Executive Services Corps. Mr. Torell serves as a Director of Wyeth LLC and Member of Advisory Board at Hyde Park Capital. He is a Director of the Juilliard Foundation, the Financial Services Corporation of New York, the New York State Banker's Association and the New York State Banking Board. He served as a Trustee of Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. Mr. Torell received a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University and studied at New York University's Graduate School of Business and the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management at Dartmouth.
