Biography
" I am an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at York University. Formerly, I taught at California State University in the Los Angeles area. My Ph.D. is from McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada.My research interests could be broadly characterized as being in the area of employment relationships with two arching streams of research: (1) employee well-being and (2) non-standard employment relationships. I study factors such as workplace fairness, emotions in the workplace, and wellness programs. My research on non-standard work arrangements includes volunteers and contingent workers such as temporary workers.My research is published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Health Promotion International, and Personality and Individual Differences. I have also contributed chapters to several books including Underemployment: Psychological, Economic, and Social Challenges, Raising Student Engagement and Retention through Classroom Response Systems and Other Technologies, and Management and Organization of Temporary Agency Work."
Research Interest
traveling, photography, hiking, and sports such as ultimate frisbee.
