Biography
Jonathan Cummings, Research Ecologist - Post Doc Patuxent Wildlife Research Center Jonathan Cummings is a Research Ecologist at the USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center. His primary areas of research interest are applications of decision analysis and population modeling for conservation and adaptive resource management. Jonathan previously worked on selecting models and monitoring to manage wildlife populations, evaluating monitoring protocols for fisher management and survival models for sockeye salmon using management objectives. Jonathan has also frequent participated in structured decision making workshops and exercises through the National Conservation Training Center. Currently Jonathan is working on applications of decision analysis to endangered species management, conducting population modeling to assist the lesser praire chicken species status assessment, and assisting lynx and gunnison sage grouse species status assessments.
