Biography

Dr. Jones completed an M.S. in Marine-Estuarine Environmental Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2008, and a Ph.D. in Biological Science at The University of Alabama in 2015. Josh returned to the PWRC, having worked as a field technican from 2008-2010, after completing his Ph.D. to continue and expand upon his research interests in coastal wetland ecology. His primary interests include mechanisms for elevation change (physical and biological) and how these mechanisms may be altered by a changing climate. He is also interested in understanding the effects of climate change on biogeochemical cycling in these ecosystems.
