Biography

Kristin began working for the USGS in June 1985 as part of the Federal Junior Fellowship Program in Augusta, Maine.  After receiving her undergraduate degree in Geology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1989, she continued in the Maine District heading up the water use and groundwater network projects and providing computer support.  In 1991, Kristin transferred to the New York Water Science Center, where she has worked primarily on the water use project and also providing GIS support to other projects.  She has been involved in testing the USGS National Water Information System (NWIS) water-use databases for over 20 years and provides technical support for the National Water-Use Information Program.
