Larry J. Abston

Biography

Mr. Abston joined Anadarko in August 2008. He has more than 30 years of experience in providing business advisory, project management and auditing services to large multi-national energy companies. Mr. Abston began his career in 1983 with Price Waterhouse LLP, in Dallas. He later served two years as Manager of Accounting Policy and Research at Amoco Corporation in Chicago. In 1998, he rejoined the Houston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he served as Managing Director of Internal Audit Services prior to joining Anadarko as Vice President, Corporate Audit.

Research Interest

Mr. Abston holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He previously served as President of the Houston Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and as Chairman of the Internal Audit Subcommittee of the American Petroleum Institute. He currently is President of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County.
