Sanjay Paranji

Biography

Mr. Paranji was named Vice President of Anadarko’s newly formed Advanced Analytics & Emerging Technologies (AAET) Group in November 2016. The AAET organization’s objective is to harness technology, big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation to enhance the company's competitive advantage in the exploration and production space. Mr. Paranji previously served as Director, Unconventional Resources Best Practices for the U.S. onshore region. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry, beginning in 1997 with Schlumberger GeoQuest Limited as Geoscientist for Middle East and East Africa engagements based in Dubai and subsequently as Reservoir Technology Lead in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Research Interest

Since joining the company in 2001, he has held positions of increasing responsibility with cross-disciplinary and geographic breadth within Anadarko’s onshore, deepwater and international operations. His leadership positions include: General Manager, Enhanced Oil Recovery; Joint Venture and Commercial Manager for Algeria operations; Reserves and Planning Manager for International Operations; Reservoir Engineering Manager for the company’s Bohai Bay operations in Beijing, China; and Senior Reservoir Engineering Specialist, Technology & Reserves.
