Biography

Biswajoy Roy-Chaudhuri is currently a postdoctoral research associate in the School of Medicine, Stanford University, USA. He has 10 years of experience in the field of RNA Biology with major focus in non-coding RNA including microRNA and ribosomal RNA. He obtained his PhD in Biology from University of Rochester, NY, USA in 2010 where he studied ribosome biogenesis and established a link between ribosome biogenesis and translational fidelity. For his postdoctoral work, he joined Stanford University, CA, USA in 2010 where he focused on microRNA biogenesis and its role in controlling the activity of mature microRNAs. Currently, he is studying the importance of microRNA processing in cancer and neurological disorders.
