Biography

Chiropractic Kinesiologist who has long been involved in Professional Sports (Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, & Swimming) and Natural Wellness Care.  A graduate of the University of California, Irvine (UCI) holding a Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) in Japanese Language & Literature with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. Dr Aki expands his knowledge in the scope of both Western as well as Eastern Medicine.  For 6 years as a Student Athletic Trainer at the University of California, Irvine Sports Medicine Clinic, he was responsible for the UCI Men’s Basketball, Soccer, and Water polo teams.  At the clinic he trained athletes to further excel in their sports and to always remain in optimal health. While working as the Athlete Trainer, Dr. Aki treated athletes & patients who could not be helped by regular exercises & rehabilitation exercises. He believed that correcting “Subluxation” – misalignment of the bone that impinges spinal nerve supply that causes structural, chemical, and emotional problems –was the key to being in optimal condition.  With this, Dr. Aki attended the Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS) to become a Chiropractor and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.). He further went on to enhance his competencies by pursuing his post graduate studies and was certified from Gonstead Extremity, Applied Kinesiology (AK), and Adult, Child, & Infant Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Standard First Aid. Dr Aki strongly emphasizes the “Triad of Health” – Structural (bones, muscles, nerves, ligaments, & tendons), Chemical (nutrition & diet), and Mental (emotions & stress) for optimal wellness care in order to help patients in various conditions.
