Dr. Agnes R.viay

Biography

Now coming into her second stint at Family Medical Practice, Dr. Agnes first joined us in 2006. She returned to her native Philippines in 2010 and then rejoined our Pediatric team in 2013.   Commencing her career in the year 2000, her love for children drew her immediately to pediatrics—and as her career progressed, she derived particular pleasure in watching her patients grow from toddlers to teens before her eyes. Loving the simple pleasure of seeing kids smile when they feel better—and even sometimes when they don’t—Dr. Agnes continues to marvel at the resilience of her child patients.   In addition to treating patients, Dr. Agnes oversees Family Medical’s Saigon International Mother & Baby Association (SIMBA) program which hosts weekly meetings discussing a range of pre- and post-natal topics with new and soon-to-be mothers.   When not in our clinics, the Manila native can be found reading her way around the world, combining her two hobbies of travel and books and tending to her own family.   She received her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She also undertook a further Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates in the U.S. She speaks English and Tagalog.
