Biography
James G. Jolly joined Oasis in August 2012 as Vice President Geosciences with 39 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Oasis, Mr. Jolly held positions as the Asset Manager – Delaware Basin and Lead Geologist – Shelf Asset with Concho Resources from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Jolly was employed by ConocoPhillips / Burlington Resources from 1981 to 2009 in several technical and supervisory roles including Principal Geologist (Team Lead Barnett Shale), Senior Geological Advisor, Planning & Corporate Reporting Supervisor, and Geoscience Supervisor Anadarko Basin. During Mr. Jolly’s tenure with Burlington Resources, he was Technical Assistant to the Vice President of Geology & Geophysics for all continental US activity and was responsible for international geologic assessments in the Eastern Hemisphere. Mr. Jolly was employed by Texaco, Inc. from 1977 to 1981 as a geologist and Geology Team Lead South Texas Team. Mr. Jolly has held various geoscience positions in several regions in the continental United States including the Permian, Fort Worth, Anadarko, Black Warrior, Raton, and Gulf Coast onshore and offshore Basins. Mr. Jolly has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science Degree in Geology from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Houston. Mr. Jolly is a Licensed Geologist in Texas and a Certified Professional Geologist.
